Arts Together Names Ginnie Huntley as Executive Director

The Arts Together board of directors and staff are delighted to share that after a thoughtful and comprehensive search, the Arts Together Board of Directors has named Ginnie Huntley as our next Executive Director.

Ginnie brings more than a decade of experience in education, leadership, organizational development, and community engagement. She began her career teaching second, third, and fourth grades in Charleston, South Carolina, before returning home to teach in Wake County Public Schools. After earning her Master’s in School Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, she served as an assistant principal in Wake County.

Throughout her career, Ginnie has led diverse teams and initiatives focused on learning, organizational culture, community partnerships, and creating welcoming environments where people can thrive.

Ginnie also brings something especially meaningful to this role: a lifelong connection to Arts Together. She has experienced firsthand how the arts can spark creativity, build confidence, and bring people together. As Executive Director, she looks forward to partnering with artists, educators, families, and community leaders to expand access to high-quality arts experiences and ensure every child, adult, family, artist, and educator feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to create.

We are deeply grateful to the members of the Executive Director Search Committee for the time, care, and thought they brought to this process: Kathryn Auman, Andrew Stewart, Jamie Bazemore, Liz Holt, Sabrina Little, Glenda Mackie, and Lauren Youngman. We also thank Colleen Bridger for providing steady leadership throughout the search, as well as our staff, families, dancers, and wider community for helping us identify what Arts Together needs in its next leader.

Ginnie officially joins Arts Together the week of August 17, 2026.
