Colleen Bridger
Interim Executive Director
Colleen started her career in 1990 working as a home visitor/case manager for pregnant women at a Migrant Farmworker Clinic in Eastern North Carolina. She then transitioned to working with international development organizations and North Carolina’s Division of Public Health. She was the Founding Executive Director of the Institute for Child Success based in Greenville, SC.
The bulk of her work has been in local government, leading local health departments in NC and San Antonio. While in San Antonio she also served as an Assistant City Manager from 2019-2021 overseeing Health, Human Services, Parks and Recreation, Immigration and Equity. Since 2023 she has focused her work on Interim Management services and served as the Interim Health and Human Services Director for Buncombe County, NC, the Interim Executive Director for the nonprofit SAFE Haven for Cats and currently serves at the Interim Director of Arts Together in Raleigh NC.
