Arts Together is a nonprofit in the City of Raleigh with year-round arts education programs that encompass visual art, dance, music and drama in an integrated format for toddlers through adults. Established in 1983, Arts Together has cultivated individual, creative strengths through the arts in a diverse, inclusive, collaborative and nurturing community for 38 years. Creativity, community, confidence and collaboration are the pillars of our culture. Arts Together has been honored to receive the City of Raleigh Medal of Arts Award in 1989 and again in 2014. Learn more about Arts Together through our City of Raleigh Medal of Arts Video.

Arts Together is committed to confronting the systemic racism and racial bias that clouds our work in fulfilling our mission and vision.

ARTS TOGETHER'S FUNDERS

Arts Together, a 501(c)(3) organization, is funded in part by the City of Raleigh based on recommendations of the Raleigh Arts Commission. Arts Together is supported by the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County as well as the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

LOCATION

Located just shy of downtown Raleigh on Saint Mary’s Street, we are conveniently located less than a block from Hillsborough Street and across from Saint Mary’s School.

Arts Together resides in the Tucker Carriage House, a 19th century historic landmark owned by Raleigh Housing Authority. Arts Together renovated the building for Raleigh Housing Authority over 20 years ago, thereby saving an historic treasure for the capital city so that it could be enjoyed by generations to come. This rare structure, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, still stands today because a coalition of public and private agencies worked cooperatively to make it happen. Arts Together was not only an ideally-suited tenant, but also drove the project ahead by securing funding to renovate the space. Its adaptation into bright, airy studios and classrooms is a testament to preservation and appropriate reuse. Arts Together and the Tucker Carriage House marry aesthetics and function in a way that breathes new life into a space steeped in the history of our city.

PARKING

Due to Arts Together's location in the historic Tucker Carriage House, parking can sometimes be challenging.  Streetside parking is the most convenient option for guests and students and is always free!  We kindly ask you not to park in the drop-off circle in front of the building or in the private lot behind the building.
