Multi-Arts Curriculum

Arts Together’s Multi-Arts Preschool is the only area program to use an arts-integrated curriculum developed to meet Head Start outcomes and NC Department of Education standards for kindergarten readiness. Through small classes with low student-to-teacher ratios, children gain confidence in their unique abilities and explore their own creativity and developing sense of self-expression.

Our arts-based curriculum builds a strong foundation for learning by using art, drama, music and dance/movement alongside other interactive, educational activities such as science, math, cooking, literacy and language. These enriching classroom experiences promote cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth in our students. Snack time is held in a community atmosphere where the children provide snack for the class on a rotating schedule. Outdoor time is also part of each day, weather permitting.

Arts Together’s daily preschool is divided into two programs: Young 3-Year-Olds and Children Ages 3½ - 5. Get to know our preschool faculty, take an extensive look at our multi-arts curriculum to see what a month in the life of a multi-arts preschooler looks like and view our new 2019-20 Preschool Brochure!

application information

applications ACCEPTED online for 2019-20 preschool starting January 23

Applications for the 2019-20 preschool program are available online starting Wednesday, January 23 for the general public and are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the school year. Arts Together’s Multi-Arts Preschool begins late August and runs through mid-May. Families who apply in January/February are notified about their acceptance in early March. All children must be potty-trained to attend Arts Together’s Multi-Arts Preschool.

Since we strive to create a diverse community of children, acceptance is not based solely upon the date an application is received, but also on the composition of the entire pool of applicants.

FEES & PAYMENTS

In addition to a completed application form, a non-refundable application fee of $290 is required when applying.

If your child is accepted into the preschool program, you will receive an email notification with further details. The equivalent of one month's tuition will be due to our office no later than June 1.  This first payment is non-refundable. We offer two payment options:

  • Monthly Payments: Payment is due in equal installments on the first of each month, September through May. If you choose to pay by credit card, Arts Together will automatically charge your card each month. If you choose to pay by check, please drop your check off at Arts Together or mail it in by the first of each month.

  • Payment in Full: You may pay in full when your child is accepted into the program.

Arts Together will NOT invoice you, so please submit all payments by the applicable due dates.
