Would you like to try something new without the full time commitment of a class that runs a full semester or year-round? Try one of our new dance and movement workshops for teens and adults! These 7 week workshops will give you a taste of something new so you can see if it is the right fit for you!

Beginning Adult Hip Hop WORKSHOP (AGES 15+)
Monday, 6:30-7:30pm
In this Beginning Hip Hop class, students will relieve stress and condition the body while aerobically dancing in a safe and supportive environment! A consistent weekly warmup will isolate and stregthen different muscle groups while working out to upbeat music. Students will learn stylized, rhythmic and coordinated hip hop moves and then put them all together in a combination to a current hip hop hit! No experience required.

Teen Yoga WORKSHOP (AGES 12-19)
Tuesday, 3:30-4:30pm
Adolescence is a turbulent time with many physical and emotional changes. Vinyasa yoga can address these changes in a positive way, increasing hormonal balance, strength and flexibility. In addition to poses, students will learn breathing techniques that help to reduce stress and focus the mind. A great way to take charge of your well being! Instructor: Glenda Mackie

Aging Gracefully Thru Mindful Movement WORKSHOP (AGES 30+)
Tuesday, 6:30-7:30pm
A unique opportunity for beginning adults to experience physicality in a thoughtful yet fun-filled environment. This class will focus on full body maintenance, including exercises to increase flexibility, muscle tone, short-term memory, and an awareness of how the body can move in the safest and most efficient manner. We will celebrate the ability to express ourselves through movement in a supportive dance community! No experience required. Instructor: Glenda Mackie

Early Bird Yoga WORKSHOP (AGES 16+)
Wednesday, 7:30-8:30am
Start your day with energy and balance! This Vinyasa yoga class will improve your physical and mental well-being. We will focus on increased body awareness while cultivating flexibility, strength and balance. Breath work and meditation make this an excellent class for those wishing to exercise body, mind and spirit. Suitable for all levels. Instructor: Glenda Mackie

Beginning Adult Pilates WORKSHOP (AGES 16+)
Wednesday, 7-8pm
In this introductory mat class, students will be led through the basics of Pilates Fundamentals. Through body alignment, exercises and breathing technique students will receive a great low-impact, whole body conditioning workout. This class will improve your core strength, flexibility, posture and leave you feeling refreshed and invigorated! No experience required. Instructor:  Betsy Ward-Hutchinson
