MORNINGS:
SPLASH
Dive into the great world of watercolor painting as you
learn to paint animals, nature scenes and still life. Find out what happens
to watercolors when they meet up with salt, wax resist, alcohol and other
"stuff"! Also take home a digital photo of your art to create cards
or other transfers. Limit 16 students.

Sing Out
Join the Arts Together chorus for a week of singing old and new favorites in
a joyous, playful, no-pressure environment. Accompany yourself and others on
instruments then try out some props, while learning about vocal/breathing
techniques, as well as basic note reading. The week ends in a fun choral
sharing with parents and friends. Limit 18 students.

Kitchen Chemistry I
Learn all about the chemistry and physical science surrounding us everyday.
Make ice cream without a freezer, create flubber
and goop and make an egg bounce! Observe chemical reactions and physical
changes right before your eyes. Discover how many household items really
belong in a scientist's laboratory! Limit 16 students.

Globetrotting
Experience the animal world through art! Travel around the world to create
different animals and their habitats. You will experience deserts, swamps,
forests and more. Journey around the globe to create crocodiles, bears,

MORNINGS:
Cartooning Fun
Bring your funny bone with you and learn to create cartoons in color and
black and white. Gain confidence in your talents as you discover how to
capture your unique sillies in paper! Tell your parents to clear off the
fridge - by the end of this camp, they'll have lots of funny stuff coming
their way! Limit 16 students.

Down to a Science
Have a blast as you learn new science concepts and use your curiosity to
develop new skills! Explore the natural world with fun-filled outdoor adventures.
Make rockets, find spider webs, erupt volcanoes, search for fossils, take
daily walking field trips and more. This trek into the natural sciences will
open up a whole new world! Limit 16 students.

Busy Bodies
Learn about keeping your body happy and healthy in this active indoor and
outdoor camp. Stretches, relay races, gymnastics and games will be paired
with learning how to make healthy snacks and stay fit. Don't just sit there -

Daffy about Drama
This fun and engaging class will introduce students to creative drama through
pantomime, character, work, storytelling and improvisation. Students will use
their imaginations to create an original theatrical presentation to be

Lights, Camera, Action!
Create your own "mini set" to take home while designing the
"big stuff" for the stage of Drama Kings and Queens.
This class is open to students in Drama Kings and Queens
and to students who want to get some hands on experience in this exciting

Take a trip around
the world to explore dances from other cultures. We’ll Do you like
pretending to be someone else? Here's a chance to use your energy and talents
to bring storybook characters to life, create faraway places and have
imaginary adventures! Learn acting, music and vocal techniques to express yourself on stage and captivate an audience. Then
"show" what you've learned to family and friends! Limit 16

Fairies, Flowers and Fantasy (FULL)
Do you love creating with color? Are you fascinated by
fairies and butterflies? Do you enjoy drawing and painting different kinds of
flowers? Come explore the fantasy world of fairies and the variety of
fabulous flowers! Let your imagination fly free this summer as we enhance our
drawing skills, learn about flowers, make our very own fairy wings and fairy
dolls, and explore an array of exciting art materials - paint, glitter,
colored pencils, and plenty of surprises! Limit 14 students.

techniques and gain inspiration for your own art work. Limit 16 students.

3,2,1, Blast Off! (FULL)
Blast off and take a ride into outer space through ART. Let's investigate the
planets and our solar system with lots of drawing, painting and sculpting. We'll
create our own aliens and make a 3-D model of the planets. So come and take
ONE GIANT LEAP into galactic art! Limit 16 students.

Puppets are soooooooo dramatic! They can be happy, sad,
mischievous and sometimes even very brave. Strap on your imagination as we
create original skits using puppet actor friends. Along the way, we'll

Discover fabric's creative side as you explore its artistic identity. Create
everything from fabulous puppets to fantastical creatures as you learn basic
sewing techniques and stitches. Then finish off your art projects with

Explore the art of digital picture-taking! Learn the dynamics needed to take
sharp, beautiful shots with your digital camera. We will learn to work with a
photo shop program to explore cropping, changing color, creating sharper
shots and enhancing images. Digital camera required. Limit 16 students.

the Box
Learn funky ways to tap into your artistic imagination. This camp is perfect
for both the frustrated and the long-time artist. Draw upside down, study
negative space and make blind contour drawings. Using optical illusions
create amazing art that that will seem to magically appear before your eyes.

How many ways can you express yourself? There are more possibilities than you
can imagine! As we draw and paint, sing, dance and play, you'll discover your
many hidden skills and resources you have for building self-confidence to

Print Making Pallooza
Have you ever wished you could draw one image and replicate it again and
again for different uses? Learning how to print make will allow you to do
just that! We will discover a variety of basic printmaking materials and
techniques. Monoprint, collagraphs,
block print, relief printing and stenciling are just a few. We will print
images on various papers, note cards and fabric and even use them in some
original collages. Bring a t-shirt to print your original images for a
one-or-a-kind art project! Limit 16 students.

yummy creations, construct a graham cracker candy house, and paint a bread

K'nex K'nection
Are you a builder or would like to be one? Well, come help construct an
entire working amusement park using K'nex
construction materials! Once you've mastered K'nex,
move on to build your own creations and make new friends while working with

Dances Around the World
Take a trip around the world to explore dances from other cultures. We'll
travel to each continent, learning flamenco, hip hop, African and Asian dance
as we go. What better way to experience the world than by listening to
stories and moving to music from many different cultures? Limit 16 students..

Brush Off
Do you like to paint? Spend a week exploring different painting styles and
media, including tempura, watercolor and acrylic paints. Learn to express
your imagination and develop a style all your own as you create your own
portraits, still lifes and other masterpieces.

For the Birds
See the world from a bird's eye view. Out in nature's big backyard, we will
go bird watching, learn to read field guides and become adept at identifying
different types of bird nests and the variety of songs birds sing. We will
even build our own bird house and create a cool bird mobile! Limit 16

Children's Musical: The Best Little
Theater in Town
Due to a lack of funds, James P. Pennypacker (a
shady accountant) announces that he'll have to shut down "The Best
Little Theater in Town." That's when the theater's owner Mrs. Goodman,
popular director Cecille Deville, and the tightly
knit cast go into action to save the theater! This production is a fun filled
"play within a play." Watch the story unfold as this small town
theater company struggles to make ends meet. There's plenty of drama and more
that enough comedy in this fabulous theatrical score! Limit 24 students.

Summerquest Survivor
Who will be the sole survivor? Compete in team and individual challenges that
test your physical and mental strength. Immunity is up for grabs. Decide on
team names and make flags as part of your assignment. Are you willing to run,
jump, pull, climb, think, strategize and eat gross stuff? Then maybe you will
be crowned SummerQuest Survivor 2009! Limit 16
