Our annual, end-of-the-year, dance sharing will take place on
Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13 here at Arts Together.

Dancers should arrive at Arts Together at least 15 minutes before their scheduled performance time to find their teacher and sit with their class.  We are fortunate to have the beautiful Arts Together space in which to perform. However, seating is limited, so we ask that each family take this into consideration when thinking about who to invite.  Siblings and younger audience members may be asked to sit on the floor down front or in a parent’s lap during the performance.  We appreciate your help and understanding as we want to make this experience enjoyable for dancers and their families.

***Important Parking Information***

Parking is available on St. Mary’s Street and Jones Street as well as the circle in front of Arts Together.
Please do not park in the parking lot behind Arts Together; this lot is strictly for the Carriage House apartment residents and their guests.

We look forward to all of the class performances.

What a great way to celebrate a wonderful year of dancing at Arts Together!

ARTS TOGETHER AWARDED A GRANT FROM VERIZON

Arts Together was awarded a $5,000 grant from Verizon for an Organizational Sponsorship. “This is a significant contribution to Arts Together’s newly formed @ Fund, and we are grateful for Verizon’s support” states Meg Revelle, Arts Together Executive Director.

The Arts Together @ Fund was launched just one year ago as part of the organization’s strategic plan to provide for the long-term financial well-being of Arts Together and to help diversify funding sources.

The Arts Together Board has set three priority areas for funding: scholarships for talented young people that may not be able to afford full tuition, new equipment and updated educational technology to enhance the classroom learning experience, and staff development to allow teachers to design and offer new classes and programs to areas of our community where such offerings are not currently available.

Arts Together is extremely grateful to Verizon for this most generous contribution!

We share our studio and office space with longtime friends of Arts Together, Even Exchange Dance Theater.

Even Exchange Dance Theater (EEDT), is one of the Raleigh's leading professional modern dance companies.  Since 1997, EEDT has been involving audiences in modern dance through performances, school programming, and community partnerships.  The company's partners have included: artists, local leaders, veterans, inmates, seniors and at-risk youth.

Each year EEDT chooses a new theme and researches it by meeting experts in the field, collecting stories from the community, and drawing on company members' experiences.  Past themes include: fast-paced modern life, gender stereotypes, roles of spirituality, teenage memories, food and politics, aging, perspectives on history, and conflict resolution.

EEDT engages audiences in a variety of environments.  The company holds four types of performances.  An EEDT concert performance, which showcases new choreography, In Our Own Backyard (produced by EEDT and featuring Triangle choreographers), First Friday/Dance Seen (a free series introducing downtown Raleigh to diverse dance artists), and school shows and community events.
