Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I begin a class late in the semester?

YES.  Arts Together accepts student registrations throughout the school year as class space allows.  While still required to pay the registration fee, students joining a class late in the semester will be charged a prorated tuition.

What should I wear to class?

Dance & Movement Classes -- We suggest that you dress comfortably.  For the first class, loose-fitting clothing short or pants would be an appropriate choice.  Dance instructors will give advice and recommendations for subsequent classes.

Most classes dance in their bare feet; however, ballet slippers are recommended for ballet students ages 5-8 and required for ballet students age 9 and older.  Ballet slippers are optional for students in Ballet for Adults.

Art Classes --  Sometimes being creative can require students to get messy!  We recommend that students wear clothing that can get dirty and easily be cleaned,  Students may opt to bring a large T-shirt or smock to class if they prefer.

Pilates & Yoga Classes --  Students should wear attire they find comfortable to move and stretch in.  Most participants wear sweats, yoga pants or loose-fitting shorts.  Additionally, if you prefer to use yor own yoga mat, blocks, straps, etc., please bring them with you.  If you do not have your own mat and accessories, we are happy to share ours.

Do you provide before/after care for camps and classes?

YES and NO.  For school-year classes, no additional care is available for students.  We ask that students arrive no more than 5-10 minutues before class and leave within 5-10 minutes after class to allow efficient traffic through our lobby

Summer classes and camps offer unique opportunities for care each year.  Please inquire at the time of registration about the specific dates of your child's summer class to determine if before or after care will be available.

What is your cancellation policy?

You are financially responsible for all class tuition, regardless of attendance, until Arts Together receives a written request to withdraw. To withdraw from a class, you must notify Arts Together in writing at least 30 days prior to the change in order to receive a pro-rated refund of your tuition.

Does Arts Together offer Financial Aid?

YES. Arts Together wants everyone to benefit from our classes and value having a diverse and inclusive student body.  Please click here  to read more about our Financial Aid opportunties.

What to Expect on Your First Visit to Arts Together...

First days of class can sometimes be nerve-wrecking for new students and their parents, but no need to worry--we are here to make your experience as comfortable as possible!

When arriving at Arts Together, please park on St. Mary's street.

(The circular driveway may be used to assist students in/out of class, but is not a designated parking area.) Students should enter Arts Together through the downstairs lobby. Younger students will wait with their parents in the lobby until their teacher comes to collect the entire class. This is a perfect time to introduce yourself to other parents/students. (We also provide a train table, a few books and crayons if you have accompanying little ones!)

During classes, parents can choose to run errands or wait in the lobby for class to finish.  Students will return to the downstairs lobby accompanied by their teacher at the end of class to share the details of their new experience.
